French River House

Inspired by a decade old hand sketch for a different site, this project developed into a two storey home that captures the views to French River PEI. The slender house volume is designed to give panoramic views and shelter from wind, while the building form is inspired by a nearby barn. The main floor is centered to the kitchen, which is the hub, while the upper floor utilizes a single loaded corridor with projecting bay to capitalize on the views into the harbour.
